Bet365 offers a welcome bonus for new sports customers, which can be used on horse racing markets. The bonus is issued as bet credits, not as withdrawable cash. To qualify, you must make a qualifying deposit of at least INR 400 and place a qualifying bet of the same value at minimum odds of 1/5 (1.20 in decimal format). Bet credits are awarded once the qualifying bet is settled and must be used within 30 days of being credited to your account. Bet credits are not returned with winnings; only the profits from bets placed with credits are withdrawable. Full terms, including any event or market exclusions for horse racing, are listed on the Promotions page of your account.
Bet365 offers a wide set of horse racing betting markets covering individual race outcomes and multi-runner combinations. The markets available depend on the race and meeting.
You back a horse to finish first. If it wins, the bet is settled at the displayed odds. If it finishes in any other position, the stake is lost.
An Each-Way bet is two bets in one: a Win bet and a Place bet. The Place portion pays out at a fraction of the Win odds if the horse finishes within the number of places specified for that race, typically 1 in 4 or 1 in 5 of the Win odds depending on the field size.
You predict which two runners will finish first and second in the correct order. Forecast bets are available on selected races and pay out at a computer-calculated dividend based on the starting prices.
You select two horses to finish first and second in either order. This covers both possible finishing combinations and costs twice the unit stake.
You predict the first, second, and third finishers in the exact correct order. Tricast bets are available on races with eight or more runners and pay out at a Totepool-style dividend.
You select three or more horses to fill the first three places in any order. The bet covers all possible combinations, with the stake multiplied accordingly.
You back a horse to finish within the defined place terms for that race, without needing it to win outright. Returns are paid at a fraction of the Win odds.
Bet365 displays horse racing odds in decimal format by default, though you can switch to fractional format in your account settings. Decimal odds represent the total return per unit staked, including your original stake. A horse listed at odds of 5.00, for example, returns INR 500 on a INR 100 stake: INR 400 profit plus the INR 100 stake returned.
Decimal odds reflect the bookmaker’s assessment of how likely each outcome is. Odds of 2.00 imply a 50% probability; odds of 5.00 imply a 20% probability. Lower odds indicate a shorter-priced favourite; higher odds indicate a longer-priced outsider.
The favourite is the horse with the lowest odds in the race, reflecting the highest likelihood of winning according to the market. Outsiders carry higher odds and lower implied probability. Betting on an outsider returns more profit per unit staked, but carries a correspondingly lower chance of success according to the market price.
Odds fluctuate before and during the race based on betting volume and market movement. No set of odds constitutes a guarantee of any outcome.
A racecard on Bet365 provides key details about every runner in a race before you place your bet. Each entry includes the following information.
The number on the card corresponds to the horse’s stall or draw position at the start. The name identifies the runner as registered for that meeting.
The jockey’s name is listed alongside the horse. Some jockeys carry strong records at specific tracks or distances, which can be relevant when comparing runners.
The trainer is responsible for the horse’s preparation. Trainer form at a particular course or over a particular distance can be a useful reference point.
Age indicates the horse’s experience relative to other runners. Horses carry different weights depending on their class, gender, and previous wins. Higher-rated horses carry more weight under a handicap system.
Form figures show finishing positions in recent races, listed from left to right with the most recent result on the right. A figure of 1 means the horse finished first; a dash or letter indicates a non-completion or different type of race.
On flat races, the draw can affect a horse’s chance depending on the track layout and prevailing conditions. Racecards display the draw alongside each runner.
The current market price is displayed next to each horse. Odds shift in the hours and minutes before a race closes, reflecting both public and professional betting activity. Reviewing these details together helps you compare runners, though no combination of racecard data guarantees a specific result.

Once a race goes in-play, the Win and Place markets remain open for a short window at the start of the race before being suspended as the field approaches key stages. Odds update continuously during this period based on the running of the race. The bet slip reflects the current live price, and your bet is confirmed at the odds accepted at the moment of placement.
Pre-race betting is available from when markets open, sometimes days in advance for major events. Odds are fixed at the time of placement if you choose SP (Starting Price), or accepted at the displayed price if you place the bet before the race goes in-play. In-play odds are shorter in duration and reflect the actual conditions of the race as it runs.
The bet slip displays the live price and potential return. If odds change between the moment you click and the moment you confirm, Bet365 will notify you of the new price and ask you to accept before the bet is placed. You can set your price preference in the bet slip settings to accept better odds automatically.
Bet365 provides access to results, schedules, and race-day information through the Horse Racing section of the site and app.
The Horse Racing homepage lists all upcoming meetings by date and country. Each meeting displays the scheduled post times for every race, allowing you to plan bets in advance. Meetings from the UK, Ireland, Australia, France, South Africa, and the USA appear on the same day card.
Once a race is settled, the result is posted in the Results section under Horse Racing. Results include finishing positions, winning margins, starting prices, and settlement information. You can access results for the current day and previous days directly from the navigation menu.
All placed bets are tracked under My Bets in your account. Open, settled, and voided bets are listed separately. Settlement is applied automatically after official results are declared by the relevant racing authority. If a non-runner is declared after your bet is placed, Bet365 applies standard non-runner rules and adjusts or voids the relevant selections.
Full race cards, including runners, weights, jockeys, trainers, and form figures, are available for upcoming races from the same Horse Racing section. Cards are published as soon as declarations are confirmed, typically the morning before the race.
Horse racing outcomes are uncertain. No strategy eliminates risk. The following points can help you approach betting in a more structured way.

The native Android and iOS apps provide full access to all horse racing markets, live betting, results, and account management with no feature reduction compared to the desktop version.

The following questions cover specific points about horse racing betting that may not have been addressed in full above.
The minimum stake for a single horse racing bet on Bet365 is INR 40. For Each-Way bets, the minimum applies to each of the two parts of the bet individually, so the total minimum outlay is INR 80.
If a horse is declared a non-runner after your ante-post bet is placed, Bet365 applies standard non-runner rules. For ante-post markets, the stake is typically forfeited unless the applicable terms specify otherwise. For race-day bets placed after final declarations, a non-runner results in the selection being voided and the stake returned, with any remaining selections in a multiple bet adjusted accordingly.
An Each-Way bet consists of a Win portion and a Place portion, each at the same stake. If the horse wins, both portions are paid: the Win portion at full odds and the Place portion at the fraction of the Win odds specified for that race (typically 1/4 or 1/5). If the horse places without winning, only the Place portion is paid. If the horse neither wins nor places, both portions are lost.
Once your bet is confirmed at a fixed price, the odds are locked in for that selection. Subsequent market movements do not affect your confirmed bet. If you selected SP (Starting Price) rather than a fixed price, your bet settles at the official SP declared when the race goes off, regardless of the price shown at the time of placement.
Withdrawal times vary by method. UPI and net banking withdrawals for Indian customers are typically processed within 1 to 5 business days depending on the bank. Bet365 processes withdrawal requests within 24 hours on its side. The remaining time depends on the payment provider. The minimum withdrawal amount is INR 400.
Yes. In-play markets on eligible horse racing events are fully accessible through the Bet365 Android and iOS apps. Live odds update continuously during the race, and the bet slip reflects the current price at the time of confirmation. Not all races carry in-play markets; availability is indicated in the race listing before the event starts.
